Written by Carri Wilbanks

Whether you are traveling to Cleveland for a family vacation or a romantic getaway, to see a professional basketball or football game, or to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, this city on Lake Erie offers a range of hotels to suit all styles and budgets.

The downtown area is home to many of the major attractions, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in this area, travelers will find a mix of quality hotels. Cleveland is also famous for the Cleveland Clinic, and travelers visiting the city for medical attention or to see someone receiving care may want to stay in its vicinity. Luckily, the university medical center hosts an InterContinental on its campus, which offers both a five-star luxe hotel and a more affordable all-suites option for families.

For budget travelers, there are also options around the city, although they tend to be more towards the airport. An exception is the excellent Cleveland Hostel, which is just a short drive from Playhouse Square and offers shared and private rooms.
