Hamburg - New Elbe Tunnel

(Local Name: Neuer Elbtunnel) In Oevelgönne in Hamburg is the northern entrance to the New Elbe Tunnel (A 7 highway), the south entrance to which is at the container terminal on the left bank of the Elbe. The tunnel, 3.3km/2mi long, with three lanes in each direction, runs under the river at a depth of up to 27 m/89ft.
