Tauriac - Pair-non-Pair Cave
(Local Name: Grotte de Pair-non-Pair) The Grotte de Pair-non-Pair is located above the Dordogne river before it joins the Gironde. It was discovered in 1881 by François Daleau, who also found deposits of an 80,000-year-old Neanderthal man, and an 18,000-year-old Cro-Magnon man.
This cave also has some of the oldest cave drawings in the world, including those of horses, ibexes, deer and mammoth.
