Milan - Santa Maria delle Grazie
Southwest of the Castello, past the Northern Station and along Via Boccaccio and Via Caradosso, can be found the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, in the Corso Magenta. This is a brick-built Gothic structure (begun about 1465), with a choir and a massive six-sided dome in the finest Early Renaissance style designed by Bramante (1492 onwards). During the repair of war damage in the dome old sgraffito paintings were brought to light. At the end of the north aisle is the Baroque chapel of the Madonna delle Grazie, with an altarpiece of the Madonna.
