Lake Thun

Lake Thun (altitude 560 m/1,837ft) is 18km/11mi long and between 2 and 2.8km/1 and 2mi wide, with an area of 48 sq. km (19 sq. mi); its greatest depth is 217 m/712ft. There are roads from Thun to Interlaken along both the north and south shores of the lake. Boat services operate during the season (Apr.- Sept.) from Interlaken-West via Spiez to Thun, and from Interlaken-Ost to Brienz; there are also various round trips, cruises and excursions.

From Spring to Autumn there are regular trips on Lake Thun and Lake Brienz every day. Special attractions: Midday round trips from Thun; evening round trips in summer; special trips for groups, firms, wedding parties; day tickets and season tickets on the lakes. All valid tickets issued both in Switzerland and abroad can be used on the regular ships.
