Als Attractions
Als
The island of Als lies at the southern end of the Little Belt, between the Jutland Peninsula and the island of Funen. Although the coastline facing the Belt has few bays many will be found on the landward side. Its beautiful beaches make it a popular place for vacations, and old churches (Lysabild) and mills render the towns most attractive.

Dybbøl - Banke History Center
Since 1992 there has been an ultra-modern History Center ("Historiecenter Dybbøl Banke") opposite the windmill in Dybbøl on the mainland of Jutland. With the aid of multivision and other modern aids it graphically portrays the highlights of the retreat from Danewerk and the Battle of the Dybbøl Trenches. A model of the entrenchments to the scale of 1:10 illustrates the basic tactics employed and is currently the largest and most detailed model of its kind in Denmark.
