Trinidad - Palacio Brunet (Museo Romantico)

The Palacio Brunet houses the Museo Romantico, with a fine collection of furniture and household wares from the early to mid 19th Century. This Colonial Mansion, built in the early 19th Century was owned by wealthy sugar mill owner Conde de Brunet from 1830 to 1860, which is referred to as the Romantic period. The Museo Romantico's collection is comprised of pieces from several Trinidad families, but primarily items that belonged to the Brunet family. On display are glass, porcelain, artwork, furniture, and other items from this time period. The Palacio Brunet is a very impressive piece of architecture with much detail and is well worth a visit.
