Vianden is an extremely picturesque location on both banks of the Our.
Its fine feudal manor dates back to the ninth C. and was the seat of the Counts of Vianden. It is a fine medieval building and was handed down to the dynasty of Orange-Nassau. It is mostly restored and unrivaled in the Ardennes and Eifel for its architectural significance. There is an outer wall with guard towers that encircles the town.
The parish church, with its two naves (former Trinitarian church) was built in Gothic style in 1248 and has been recently renovated.
