Description
On display in the museum is the former private collection of the sculptor Frederic Marès Deulovol which was donated to the city; in addition to religious art there is a large department devoted to cultural history from the 15th to early 20th C. from the private library of Marès. The beautiful building in which it has been housed since 1946 forms part of the Salò de Tinell complex.

Access to the museum is through an archway from the Carrer dels Comtes de Barcelona, leading into a picturesque inner courtyard.
