Fayetteville Attractions

In the north-western corner of Arkansas is the town of Fayetteville (pop. 58,000), seat of the University of Arkansas. Places of interest include the Headquarters house (1853), which served as headquarters for both the Unionists and the Confederation, and Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park where a Civil War battle was fought on December 7th 1862. South of the town is the picturesque Devil's Den State Park.
