Yellowstone - Old Faithful

One of the star attractions of the Yellowstone is the geyser familiarly known as Old Faithful, famed for the regularity with which it used to shoot columns of water up to a height of 115-165 ft - though since the last earthquake it has not been so dependable as before. The intervals between eruptions range between half an hour and two hours (at present about 80 min.); for the approximate times enquire in the Visitor Center or the Old Faithful Inn. The Old Faithful Inn was originally built in log-cabin style in 1904 and has since been several times enlarged. Many famous people have signed the visitors' book.
