The Peoples Republic of China Map

China is a vast country with a history that dates back thousands of years. Today parts of the country are changing quickly as the country develops, making it that much more interesting to visit. Perhaps the country's best known site is the Great Wall of China, which draws visitors from all over the world each year. China's capital city, Beijing, offers a wealth of attractions and is home to such famous places as the Forbidden City and Tian'anmen Square. Some of the other well known treasures in China include the famous archeological find of the Terracotta Warriors, or a boat trip down the scenic Lijiang River.

While most visitors tend to stay close to the east coast there is much to explore all over the country and areas further inland should not be ignored when planning a trip to China.
