While most of the Niagara Parkway is high above the river's edge, visitors can get down close to to the rush of water on this walk.The Niagara River is forced through a narrow gorge and it is at this gorge where the Niagara White Water Walk is located. This 1.6 km / 1 mi long gorge is called the Whirlpool Rapids.The attraction is located near the Whirlpool Bridge and is partially accessible for wheelchairs.
Whirlpool Aero Car
The Niagara Aero Car has been in continuous operation since 1916. Built using the patent established by Leonardo Torres Quevedo, the Niagara Aero Car is suspended above the roiling waters of the Niagara whirlpool by six sturdy cables.The Niagara Aero Car travels approximately 1km / 0.6mi from one side of the whirlpool gorge to the other. Visitors are rewarded with a unique view of the powerful currents of the Niagara River swirling around in a massive whirlpool.The ride takes 35 standing people per trip and each trip is takes approximately 10 minutes. This attraction is not wheelchair accessible.
Marineland
Marineland at Niagara Falls is a popular summer attraction in the region. Marineland features marine shows that highlight killer whales, dolphins, walruses and sea lions.
