Roanoke - Mill Mountain

Mill Mountain located in Roanoke is a hill just over 1700 feet high. The ambitiously named hill has a famous adornment - a star. The Roanoke Star is the second largest illuminated star in the world and was built in 1949. Mill Mountain also has a small zoo near its summit. Views from the top are out over downtown Roanoke and the Roanoke Valley.
