Corcovado National Park Description
(Local Name: Parque Nacional Corcovado) Spanning 54,539ha/134,711ac, Corcovado National Park encompasses great biological diversity. The park has two sections; most if it is found on the southwestern corner of the Osa Peninsula, while another section covering 12,751ha/31,495ac is found on the north-eastern side of the Dulce Gulf.

Corcovado national park was established in 1975 and protects what is considered to be the best remaining stretch of Pacific coastal rainforest in Central America.
