Cleveland - Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum

North Coast Harbor, at the north end of East 9th Street, has been redeveloped as a promenade and a setting for festivals; also situated here is Cleveland's latest attraction, the Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame. Designed by I.M. Pei, it is more an experience than a museum. The history of popular music is spread over six floors in an atmosphere of multimedia exuberance, with such rarities as the manuscript of "Purple Haze" written by Jimi Hendrix or "The Psychedilic Porsche", as sung by Janis Joplin.
