Napa Valley Train
Since 1989 it has been possible to become acquainted with the Napa Valley district by traveling in authentic Pullman saloon coaches (George Mortimer Pullman built the first luxury saloon and sleeping-cars in Chicago in 1858). On the 36mi/58km round trip from Napa to St Helena gourmet dishes are served in the elegant dining-car.
Novato - Olompali State Historic Park
Olompali State Historic Park is a 700-acre park with several historic buildings, such as the 1913 Burdell Mansion with its three older structures from the mid-1800s; and a traditional Victorian garden. "Olompali" comes from the Miwok language and may be translated as "southern village" or "southern people."
Yountville, California
Yountville (pop. 3,259) is northwest of Napa on State Road 29. The town of Yountville is noted for its restaurants and award winning chefs, earning the unofficial title of Culinary Capital of the Napa Valley.
