16 Best All-Inclusive Resorts in Mexico
Author Meagan Drillinger spends several months each year in Mexico and writes on resorts throughout the country.
As much fun as vacation planning can be, sometimes eliminating the guesswork is a vacation all on its own. That's the beauty of the all-inclusive resort: accommodations where once you check-in, you have everything you need. Even better? Your wallet can stay in the room.
Mexico is one of the world's capitals for supreme all-inclusive resorts. In fact, some of the most creative and luxurious all-inclusives can be found right here. In every beach destination across the country, dozens of all-inclusive resorts are there for the choosing, and each one fills its own niche. Whether you're looking for a resort for couples, families, adults-only, adventure, luxury, or simply to disconnect, Mexico has the resort to match.
So where does one even begin when selecting a resort? We've narrowed down the top options with our list of the best all-inclusive resorts in Mexico.
1. Excellence Playa Mujeres

Accommodation: Excellence Playa Mujeres
A half-hour north of the Cancun airport, in a gated community on its own sugary stretch of sand, sits one of Cancun's top resorts. Excellence Playa Mujeres is part of the rapidly developing luxury community, Playa Mujeres. With views of the eponymous island offshore, a golf course, and an inland marina, it is one of the most coveted addresses in the area.
The adults-only, all-suite resort has seven pools and lazy rivers that weave around its tropical gardens. Five of the pools are heated, and four independent hot-water Jacuzzis can be found throughout the property, as well.
Guests can opt to elevate their stay by booking Excellence Club rooms, which come with additional benefits like private check-in and check-out, late check-out and early check-in, a private concierge, a private lounge, upgraded toiletries, a reserved restaurant, and a reserved beach area.
Excellence Playa Mujeres is also known for its Miile Spa, specifically for the Aqua Wellness Hydrotherapy Circuit, which features splashing fountains, high-pressure waterfalls, bubble massage benches, Swedish saunas, tropical rain showers, and more.
When not checking into one of the posh suites, guests can take advantage of the on-property activities, like snorkeling, sailing, paddleboarding, yoga, Spanish lessons, and more. The resort can also arrange for private yacht excursions or deep-sea fishing trips.

Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos opened in 2018 with a flurry of excitement. It's the sister resort to the much-beloved original Le Blanc Spa Resort in Cancun.
The newest iteration raised the bar on luxury - the Cancun property shuttered for a $30 million renovation in order to keep up. The adults-only resort features 373 rooms, 98 percent of which feature oceanfront or partial-oceanfront views. All rooms have balconies.
The room to beat, however, is the Royale Residence, which is sort of like a private resort within the resort. The two-story building can host up to 12 guests and comes with its own private check-in, personal butler, and concierge. The four oceanfront bedrooms have private bathrooms, a pedestal tub, and Salvatore Ferragamo bath amenities.
The house also has an outdoor terrace, sun deck, personal fitness center, and private pool. Guests of the Royale Residence are entitled to two private spa treatments per stay, and a tailor-made dinner or lunch prepared for up to 12 people.
But all guests can explore the resort's 10 dining venues, as well as the sprawling BlancSpa with 25 treatment suites and a menu of sumptuous massages.

Secrets has long been a preferred brand among honeymooners, thanks to their adults-only policy and Unlimited-Luxury program, which offers a lengthy list of included amenities. But Secrets Maroma Beach is by far one of the most impressive in the entire brand's collection.
Let's start with the guest suites, each with a private terrace or balcony, an in-suite hydro tub (for two), a complimentary minibar, and more. Be sure to look into the several swim-out suites.
Guests would be remiss to pass on the Secrets Spa by Pevonia, a 13,000-square-foot palace that pampers with a menu of treatments, tranquility pools, and relaxation areas.

But the brand has taken it one step further with the opening of Hotel Xcaret, a completely new all-inclusive concept for Mexico and a one-of-a-kind luxury hotel.
The resort sits at the end of a long, winding jungle road that leads to an open-air lobby with soaring ceilings and a view out to the infinity pool and the Caribbean Sea. The resort swings heavy on the secret jungle city vibes, with lush foliage, white stone-facade buildings, and dangling vines.
The sprawling resort is divided into five separate "casas," each one with its own theme: adults only, luxury adult, family, luxury family, and wellness. In each casa, most ground-floor rooms are swim-up suites. All rooms have decadent bathrooms and fully-stocked minibars. Casa Fuego is the most VIP of the houses, with its own private gym, restaurant, and rooftop infinity pool.
While there is so much to see and do on the property itself, with 10 restaurants, a spa, pools, and a beach, one of the biggest perks guests receive is complimentary, unlimited access to any of Grupo Xcaret's parks.
