Atlanta's Thrilling Indoor Theme Park With Unique Rides And A Giant Slide Is Opening Soon

The summer travel season is heating up, and although travel experts expect some disruptions this year, there's no need to press pause on your warm-weather getaway. And best of all, you don't even have to brave the soaring temperatures outside. Beginning in June 2026, Atlanta is welcoming a new indoor theme park filled with adrenaline-spiking rides and attractions — and you can enjoy it all without sacrificing air-conditioning.

Located in the Doraville area, about 15 miles northeast of Downtown Atlanta, Thrillz Indoor Adventure Amusement Park boasts 56,000 square feet of space, divided into over two dozen zones filled with a variety of attractions. There's a space for trampolines, a laser tag arena, a virtual reality and arcade zone, a massive jungle gym, a toddler-friendly space, sports courts, a zip line, and more. At the center of it all is the Mega Slide Tower, a series of 35-foot slides that is reportedly the only one of its kind in the U.S.

There are also thrill rides similar to those found at outdoor amusement parks. There's a dizzying coaster where spinning cars move along a figure-eight track; a rotating pendulum swing ride; the 40-foot Drop Tower; and several other slides, swings, and obstacle courses, all illuminated with flashing neon lights. Though the indoor park was originally slated to open on June 10, its grand opening has been delayed until the end of the month. But with so many attractions packed into one space, it'll likely be worth the wait.

Planning a visit to Atlanta's Thrillz indoor park

Once Atlanta's Thrillz Indoor Adventure Amusement Park opens, visitors can purchase passes online, with options ranging from timed-access packages to per-ride tickets. Pricing is generally lower between Monday and Thursday, and guests not participating in the activities (such as parents accompanying children) can enter for free on these days. Note that some attractions have age and height restrictions — the Mega Slide Tower, for instance, is suitable for children 6 and older — though Thrillz states on its website that the facilities are designed for all ages, from toddlers to adults.

Those looking to make a day of it can refuel at the on-site cafe, which will serve casual grub such as pizza and chicken tenders, and chaperones can hang out in the park's "parent lounge" area equipped with TVs and other comforts. Of course, you might want to sample a few of the thrill rides and games before heading to another Atlanta-area attraction, such as the Atlanta Botanical Garden, one of the most beautiful American botanical gardens, according to reviews.

Even though Thrillz hasn't officially opened its doors, it's already received praise from content creators who were granted early access. "I really reverted back to a kid," shared Atlanta-based TikToker @eatswithkaii_ in a clip. Thrillz has also earned high marks at its two other locations: The Danbury, Connecticut, branch has 4.7 stars on Google Maps, while its King of Prussia location (just 5 miles from the historic Valley Forge, outside of Philadelphia) has a 4.5-star average rating.
