This New Ski-In Ski-Out Resort In Colorado Is Bringing Luxury To Keystone In 2026

Nearly 14 million people descended on Colorado's snowy peaks during the 2024-2025 ski season, making it one of the busiest seasons of all time. This should hardly be a surprise, given that the state is full of underrated mountain towns perfect for outdoor adventures. And in 2026, outdoor enthusiasts will have a new luxury destination to visit in the Centennial State when the much-anticipated Kindred Resort opens its doors this spring. And don't worry — there are hiking and other outdoor activities in the summer for you to enjoy.

One of the most popular ski resorts in North America is Keystone Resort in Keystone, Colorado. Located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, this massive resort boasts more than 3,100 skiable acres. This year, Keystone will be getting a new resort village called Kindred Resort, which will offer ski-in, ski-out convenience to those who can't get enough of the slopes. Kindred Resort will provide easy access to Keystone's 140 runs, especially since it's right next to the River Run Gondola, which takes passengers up to the peak of Decrum Mountain.

The resort's location makes it an ideal base for year-round adventure, as the trails at Keystone open for hiking and mountain biking in the warmer months. If you stay at the new Kindred Resort, you'll get options from it's 107 rooms and 95 private residencies, in addition to a variety of amenities you can enjoy after your time outdoors.

Play, dine, and unwind at Kindred Resort

When planning a ski vacation in Colorado, Aspen may come to mind as the perfect resort town for a family-friendly winter getaway. But Kindred Resort, with its prime location and extensive offerings, is set to rival Aspen's top resorts when it opens to the public. The rooms come with "spa-inspired" amenities, some with views overlooking the Rockies. The private luxury residences elevate the experience even more. The residences range from one to four bedrooms and come equipped with a gourmet kitchen, fireplace, and private balcony.

All guests have access to the resort's amenities, including an outdoor heated pool open throughout the year, a poolside lounge, and two oversized hot tubs facing the ski slopes. There's also a fully-equipped fitness center and a spa that "specializes in alpine massages and high-altitude treatments," according to its website. The resort's Kids Zone gives little ones a space to interact, play, and burn off energy. At the center of the property is an outdoor courtyard with fire pits, comfy seating, and lawn games to unwind between activities.

Dining is another highlight at Kindred Resort. There are various spots to choose from, such as Lula's Restaurant for breakfast and dinner, Kindred Spirits slope-side lounge for cocktails, The Goodz Tavern for aprés-ski bites, and Kinji Sushi for Japanese sushi and Asian fusion near the River Run Gondola.

Planning your trip to Kindred Resort

At the time of writing, Kindred Resort is accepting reservations from May 7, 2026. As part of its grand opening, the resort has unveiled special discounts, including 25% off and 50% off select dates in May and June 2026, as well as complimentary breakfast. There are also several packages to choose from, some of which include meals, guided excursions, and keepsakes for guests and their dogs.

For those flying in, the best way to access Kindred Resort is through Denver International Airport (DEN), which sits about 90 miles to the east. The airport is considered one of the more interesting airports in the United States and is also one of the world's busiest. The airport offers multiple ground transportation options, including ride-share services, charter buses, and car rentals. Alternatively, visitors can take the Keystone Shuttle offered by Epic Mountain Express for direct transportation to the resort area.
