A Lightning-Fast Bullet Train Will Soon Connect Los Angeles And Las Vegas

Travelers will soon be able to channel their inner Superman by getting from the City of Angels to Sin City faster than a speeding bullet. By the end of 2029, a lightning-fast bullet train will whisk folks between Los Angeles, California, and Las Vegas, Nevada, offering an alternative to those who want to kick back and relax rather than endure a four-hour-long drive along the heavily congested I-15.

Whether you're looking to rub shoulders with the rich and famous while walking along streets with some of the largest mansions in the U.S., or testing your luck on the Las Vegas Strip, the journey between the two top-tier tourist attractions in the United States will soon be more accessible and faster than ever. The highly anticipated bullet train is called the Brightline West and is set to be a game-changer.

Both Los Angeles and Las Vegas are home to two of the largest entertainment industries in the United States. Some of California's top 10 tourist hotspots worth visiting on your next trip will soon be reached in less than three hours along the 218-mile railway connection. The Brightline West is on track to carry a price tag of around $12 billion and will surely be a welcome transportation alternative to those looking to travel between the two iconic American cities.

The Brightline West promises game changing transport times between LA & Vegas

The state-of-the-art Brightline West bullet train won't only be a beneficial quickie between the two entertainment hubs, but it will also help connect the entire region between California and Nevada, unlike ever before. From downtown Los Angeles, the Brightline West will connect through to Rancho Cucamonga in about two hours, which will also offer convenience to local transit, rideshares, and 60 other Metrolink stations, giving locals more options and providing ease of connectivity.

The construction of the Las Vegas station is already underway, but it's unknown when the actual tracks for the Brightline West are set to be placed. Built in conjunction with the zero emissions standards that European rail lines are known for, the Brightline West project is set to also follow in the footsteps of those standards, even when it comes to track work systems.

The much-needed boost in economic development and good salaries is highly welcomed as the Brightline West project develops. The massive project is set to provide over 35,000 construction jobs and over800 permanent jobs after completion, proving that this future bullet train won't just whisk riders from Hollywood Boulevard to Vegas neon lights, but also lay fast tracks to secure jobs, economic growth, and a stronger future for U.S. rail.
