The Otter Trust's North Pennines Reserve is a 230 acre wildlife reserve near Bowes. It is populated with British and Asian otters, red and fallow deer, reindeer and rare breeds of farm animals. There are bird hides overlooking wetland areas as well as picnic sites and walks to enjoy.
