Beverley and Selby Route
The city of York is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area, which offers a wide range of beautiful scenery and historical and artistic interest. Apart from the Yorkshire Dales, two circular tours are recommended. The first takes in the towns of Beverley and Selby, both famous for their churches.
Leave York by St Lawrence Street and continue along the A1079 until shortly before Hull.
