The Mozart Festival is an annual month-long event that takes place in June and includes almost daily performances of works by Mozart. Since its inception in 1922, the festival has brought together internationally acclaimed artists, who performed in large-scale operas, symphonic and chamber concerts and recitals.
This annual festival begins on the first Saturday in July in honor of Saint Kilian, an Irish missionary in Franconia. The three-week event opens with a colorful parade. Other events include a fun fair with amusements, rides, games and fairs.
