Worms - Cathedral
In the center of Worms stands the Cathedral (Dom) of St Peter and St Paul (11th-12th C.; R.C.), with four towers and two domes, which ranks along with Speyer and Mainz Cathedrals as one of the finest achievements of the High Romanesque style. The nave is 27m/89ft high (domes 40m/130ft). In the north aisle are five fine Late Gothic sandstone reliefs from the demolished Gothic cloister; fine choir stalls, Baroque high altar by Balthasar Neumann.
The eastern flanking towers were completed in the 13th C.
