Burlington Attractions
Not to be confused with Burlington, Vermont, this mid sized city in Wisconsin has a few attractions to hold the visitors interest. Located on the shores of Echo Lake, the city has done a nice job of creating a pleasant park, Echo Park, along its shores. Burlington also has a historic downtown core with some well-restored buildings.
Logic Puzzle Museum
The Logic Puzzle Museum is hands-on fun for ages 5-105. With more than 55 different types of brain, logic, and mechanical puzzles to try to solve. Ring bells when you solve a puzzle, see the exhibit of vintage puzzles and make a puzzle to take home. The exhibit includes Chinese Checker Boards, collection of sliding block puzzles from around the world, Tangrams, dexterity puzzles, sequence puzzles, and Victorian parlor puzzles and toys.
Spinning Top & Yo-Yo Museum
Burlington's unique Spinning Top & Yo-Yo Museum is dedicated to toys, and in particular spinning toys. Try 35 hands-on tops and top games, see videos, try the I Spy Hunt, and see 2,000 items on exhibit. Educational classes called Yo-Yo Camp, are held on a regular basis to teach people the correct methods for making the yo-yo perform amazing feats.
