Winnipeg - Riel House National Historic Site

Riel House (National Historic Park) belonged to Louis Riel's family. It has been restored to reflect the social, economic and cultural realities of life for the Lagimodière and Riel families in the 1890s.

The house was built in the Red River Frame style, typical of early settler homes in the Manitoba region.

Riel House and the surrounding park, occupy river lot 51 on the Red River and the well maintained property is a pleasure to stroll about.
