Winnipeg - Manitoba Children's Museum

The Children's Museum is a sort of activity center for the young. In The Big Top, for example, they are able to re-create the world of the circus for themselves by dressing up, etc.

The Manitoba Children's Museum was started by Linda Isitt in 1982 and grew exponentially over the years. Today the Manitoba Children's Museum is housed in a state of the art facility located at The Forks. The museum has a variety of activities including drop in programs, public preschool programs, fun workshops, and summer day camps.

Six permanent galleries and one seasonal one provide endless hours of entertainment and learning. Children will be thrilled with one or all of the following: The Wonderworks Gallery, The Tree and Me Gallery, The Livewire Gallery, The All Aboard Gallery, The TV Gallery, and finally the Space Station Gallery.
