Wilmington - Willingtown Square
Willingtown Square in Wilmington is located on the 500 Block of Market Street. There are four buildings that date from 1748 until the early 1800s. They were moved to the current location to save them from demolition.
The Cook-Simms House was built in 1778 by William Cook and Dr. John Simms bought the house in 1840 to use as his home and shop.
The Coxe Houses were completed in 1801 for the daughters of Thomas Coxe.

Each house consists of one room on each of its three floors.
The Jacobs House is constructed of Flemish bond brickwork and was built in 1748.
Jacob and Obidiah Dingee built their houses side by side in 1771. The main floor was used for their cabinet making shops and they lived on the second level.
