Wilmington - Holy Trinity (Old Swedes) Church

The Holy Trinity Church in Wilmington was established as a Swedish Lutheran Church, constructed in 1698-1699. It was placed under the jurisdiction of the Protestant Episcopal Church in 1791 and is still used for regular worship today.

Holy Trinity (Old Swedes) Church is noted as the oldest original church building still standing in the US.

Hendrickson House
Andrew Hendrickson, a Swedish farmer, built the Hendrickson House in 1690 when he settled near Chester, Pennsylvania. The house was moved to its present site in 1958 and restored. Inside the home is a small scale model of the Kalmar Nyckel.

The furniture in Hendrickson House dates from 1690 to 1800. Pewter dishes, vessels and copper cooking pirces are also displayed.
