Wiener Neustadt - St George's Church

Of the four corners of the Burg only one has survived. The west front and the grand courtyard are dominated by St George's Church, the finest Late Gothic church interior in Austria. It was built above the vaulted entrance hall in 1440-60 as the burial chapel of Frederick III (though the Emperor is in fact buried in St Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna).
