Carriage House Glass Museum
The Carriage House Glass Museum in Wheeling is renowned for its collection of over 3000 interesting glass objects. Visitors are treated to a history of glass production and can see glass blowing artisans at work. Of particular note is the largest cut lead crystal ever made, the Sweeny Punch Bowl.

Good Zoo & Benedum Planetarium
The Good Zoo in Wheeling makes a great family outing. Animals can be petted and adults and children can get up close and personal. The Good Zoo has over 80 animals and the zoo is spread out over 30 acres. Also on site is a planetarium where an interesting show is screened.

The Henry Stifel Schrader Environmental Education Center is of interest to those concerned about Earth and its environment. Also of note are the butterfly garden and the walking trails throughout the property. The buildings themselves are examples of new trend, Green Architecture.

Mansion Museum
The Mansion Museum built in 1846 by Hanson Chapline, was originally an eight-room farmhouse. It was purchased by Earl W. Oglebay in 1900. Mr. Oglebay made the mansion and its surrounding grounds his family's summer estate.
