Weimar Schloss
The Schloss, on the east side of Weimar, is a three-story building with a neo-classical colonnade on the east side, facing the Ilm. Notable features of the interior are the staircase hall, the Great Hall and the Falcon Gallery (all in neo-classical style, 1801-03), the Luisenzimmer and the Goethe Gallery.
Southwest of the Schloss are the medieval Schlossturm, with an elaborate Baroque top (1729-32) and the "Bastille" (basically Late Gothic, 15th C.).
