Colfax Attractions
Colfax is located in southeastern Washington State, south of Spokane. Some residents commute to the city for work. Colfax claims to be the gateway to the Sierra, as it is situated in the foothills.
Perkins House
The late 19th Century Perkins House belonged to James Perkins, founder of Colfax. The house contains furniture and artifact from the late 1800s. Perkins House has also recently been meticulously restored with great attention to detail, returning it to its original splendor.

Steptoe Butte State Park
The main feature in Steptoe Butte State Park is of course Steptoe Butte, named for Colonel Edward Steptoe. The butte held significance for Native Americans who felt it could give them power. The park has picnic facilities and attracts visitors largely for the scenic views of up to 200 miles.
