Carson Attractions
Carson is a very small town just north of the Columbia River. There may be no particular reason to stop here but if you do find yourself in Carson, there is a fish hatchery and the Wind River Arboretum to visit.
The Carson National Fish Hatchery can be a fun and interesting place to visit during the spring and summer. The hatchery releases some 2 million young salmon here each year.
The Wind River Canopy Crane Research Facility in the Wind River Experimental Forest was designed to aid in the research of the forest. The Canopy Crane allows researchers to access the upper levels of the forest. Unfortunately the crane and surrounding forest are not open to the public due to concerns with safety and impact on the environment.
