Cardigan/Aberteifi (pop. 4,000) is a busy little market town on the banks of the Teifi (pronounced Tivi), 2.5mi/4km above its mouth. A six-arched bridge, built at the beginning of the 18th century, spans the Teifi, renowned for its salmon and trout, in the town center. Nearby two round towers from a 13th century medieval castle can be seen.
