Kapiolani Park - Kodak Hula Show and Waikiki Shell (closed)
|
|
The Kodak Hula Show offers a quick and instructive (but free) introduction to the Hawaii national dance, the hula - there is even an opportunity to join in. The Kodak Hula Show is, even if inevitable changes have to be made during the course of the year, the longest-running show not only in Hawaii but in the whole of the United States of America. It began in 1937 and since then has been presented three or four times a week, apart from a few interruptions due to war.
