Se Description
The Romanesque and Gothic Cathedral, or Sé, opposite the Misericord Church, was first built in the 12th C., remodeled in the 16th and extended in the 18th. In the central niche above the door is a statue of St Theotonius, the town's patron saint.

The interior was transformed into a hall church in the 16th C. by the reconstruction of the vaulting, which is Manueline but supported by Gothic pillars. Above the monumental Baroque high altar is a 14th C. figure of the Virgin. The chapterhouse contains a remarkable treasury of sacred art.

The ground floor of the cloister is Renaissance, the gallery in the upper story having been added in the 17th C.
