Claude Moore Colonial Farm in McLean is a recreated 18th Century farm. Unlike other recreations of large scale prosperous farming communities, Claude Moore Colonial Farm depicts a low income family and the simple life as it was in the 1770s.

Theodore Roosevelt Island Park
Theodore Roosevelt Island Park is part of the George Washington Memorial Parkway that includes famous sites such as Fort Marcy and Lady Bird Johnson Park. This island park is limited to foot traffic only and bicycles are not permitted. The park features numerous walking trails through river vegetation along wonderful boardwalks. The park is free to all and features informative plaques along the walkways explaining the flora and fauna.
