Virginia Beach - Cape Henry National Memorial
Cape Henry National Memorial is marked with a stone cross. It was erected in the 1930s to commemorate the wood cross placed here in 1607 by Englishmen who named the place Cape Henry.
Also on site are a memorial to Admiral Comte deGrasse and an interpretive panel explaining the history of Cape Henry.
