Vienna - Austria Center

The Austria Center Vienna adjoining UNO-City was opened in 1987. It is an ultra-modern center for events and conferences and can seat anything between 50 and 4000 delegates. Fourteen rooms of various sizes are available for concerts, dances, banquets, exhibitions and theatrical and TV shows. The accommodation is on four floors and each room has its own foyer so that different events can be held at the same time. The floor space of the foyers, totaling over 9,390sq.m/1,000,000sq.ft, can also be used for exhibitions. All the public rooms have the necessary technical provisions for TV, film and slide projections as well as for simultaneous translation in up to nine languages. In addition there are offices and rooms for 10 to 70 people available for meetings. In the main center conferences of UN size can be held (there are direct links to the HQ of the United Nations). When laid out in parliamentary style it can accommodate 2,100 delegates; in rows, twice as many can be seated. In addition there are a press center and a radio station, a post office, bank, travel bureaux, restaurants, coffee shops and a cocktail lounge.
