Proctor Attractions

Proctor (pop. 2,000) is located northwest of Rutland. The town is named after Redfield Proctor, a former governor of Vermont and the founder of Vermont Marble Co. The town features marble buildings and sidewalks.

Wilson Castle
Wilson Castle was built in the mid 1800s and features 19 open-proscenium arches, a towering turret, a parapet, 84 stained-glass windows, 13 fireplaces, and hand-painted ceilings. The property covers 115 acres with outbuildings and an aviary.
