Veracruz - Baluarte de Santiago

The Baluarte de Santiago is the only part of the old 18th c. city walls which remains. It houses an historical museum with the "Fisherman's Jewels", 35 pieces of pre-Columbian jewellery found by a fisherman in 1976 and which lead experts to wonder whether they could possibly form part of the lost treasure of Moctezuma.
