Chinese Cultural Centre Description
The Chinese Cultural Center (housed in a modern building at 50 E. Pender Street.) provides visitors with an opportunity to learn about the history and cultural life of Vancouver's Chinatown.

There were a number of stages in the development of the Chinese Cultural Center which was begun in the early 1980s. An entire city block in Chinatown was devoted to the centre.

There are regularly changing exhibits and temporary displays open to the public. Be sure to check out the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. Artisans and landscape gardeners from the city of Suzhou (China) laid out this classical Chinese garden for Expo '86.
