Belvédère des Six Ourthes

Beyond Nisramont the road winds down into the valley, crosses the Ourthe and joins the N860 to Nadrin. From there is a walk on a 2.2km/1.5mile-long path to the fissured rock "Le Hérou" which is 1400m/4,595ft long on two sides and falls steeply into the Ourthe; from the Belvédère des Six Ourthes viewpoint there is an extensive panorama embracing the six narrow loops which the river forms around the rock, the reservoir and the confluence of the two sources of the Ourthe. The last named can be reached from the observation point on the footpath which leads up through the forest on the right bank of the river.
