Snow Canyon State Park is located 8mi/13km north of St George and covers 7,100 acres. The park has a colorful canyon with camping and picnic facilities, and two recent volcanic cones. The area also features 16mi/26km of hiking trails.
Gunlock State Park
Gunlock State Park is located on the Gunlock Reservoir 15mi/24km northwest of St George. It features fishing and water sport activities.
Silver Reef, Utah
Silver Reef is a ghost town in Washington County. It has a museum, an art gallery, a gift shop and a restored restaurant.

The Silver Reef Museum documents the history of the ghost town in a restored Wells Fargo coach stop. There are also two cemeteries to visit.
