The Cascade Springs interpretive site is not to be missed. The site features a series of waterfalls that collect in limestone terraces. There are boardwalks for viewing the springs, which release up to seven million gallons of water a day.
The Currant Creek Reservoir is located in the Uinta National Forest 40mi/64km southeast of Heber. The reservoir has a large campground and interpretive nature trail.
The Mount Nebo Wilderness consists of 28,170 acres in the Uinta National Forest. Mount Nebo is the highest of the Wasatch Mountains, peaking at 11,928ft/3,637m. The area boasts an excellent trail system for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
The Mount Timpanogos Wilderness in Uinta National Forest covers 10,750 acres and has 17mi/27km of maintained trails. There is access to the Mount Timpanogos summit 11,750ft/3,581m from both the Aspen Grove and Timpooneke trailheads.
The Spanish Fork Ranger District is one of the three ranger districts in the Uintah National Forest in central Utah.

The Strawberry Reservoir is located 23mi/37km southeast of Heber City in the Uintah National Forest. It is a popular spot for fishing, boating and snowmobiling. It has recently been enlarged to a total of 17,160 acres.
