The town of Ticaboo is located in southeastern Garfield County on State Route 276 in southeastern Utah.
It was established in the 1970's as a uranium mining town. Ticaboo now relies heavily on tourism business thanks to nearby Lake Powell.

Henry Mountains
One of the last ranges in the United States to be surveyed and named, the Henry Mountains near Ticaboo in central Utah are home to the country's only free roaming buffalo herd. The mountains were once a hideout of the Wild Bunch.
