The Sundance Institute was established in 1981 by Robert Redford to support independent filmmaking. There are special events throughout the year and various programs available, the most famous event is the Sundance Film Festival in January, attended by over 10,000 people.

Sundance Amphitheatre
A natural outdoor amphitheater in Sundance is used as a venue for the Sundance Summer Theatre and Sundance Children's Theatre.
Sundance Ski Area
The Sundance Ski Area has 41 trails and a vertical drop of 2,150ft/655m on Mount Timpanogos. There are 450 acres of skiing terrain.
