Sanpete County is one of the 29 counties in Utah and is located centrally in the state. With a population of 20,581, Sanpete County is sometimes called "Little Denmark" because of its original immigrant settlers.
Centerfield (pop. 1,000) is located central Utah 20mi/32km southwest of Manti. The town was named Centerfield because it was in the center of Gunnison Valley.
Founded in 1854, Ephraim (pop. 4,500) is the largest town in Sanpete County. Since 1976 the town has celebrated its Nordic heritage with a Scandinavian Festival, held the weekend before Memorial Day in the town square. Ephraim is the site of Snow College which was founded in 1888.

Fayette (pop. 200) is located on the southernmost point of the Sevier Bridge Reservoir near the Yuba Lake State Park in Sanpete County in central Utah.
Gunnison (pop. 2,400) is the fourth-largest town in Sanpete County. It was established in 1869 and named for explorer John Gunnison, who was massacred along with six of his men in 1853. The town's city hall dates from 1899.
Moroni (pop. 1,280) is the fifth-largest town in Sanpete County. It has several buildings that are on the National Historic Register including the Moroni Opera House. The town is named after the Mormon prophet Moroni.
Wales (pop. 220) is one of the many towns located in the median strip between the Uinta National Forest and the Fishlake National Forest in Sanpete County in central Utah.
