Sanpete County

Sanpete County is one of the 29 counties in Utah and is located centrally in the state. With a population of 20,581, Sanpete County is sometimes called "Little Denmark" because of its original immigrant settlers.

Centerfield, Utah
Centerfield (pop. 1,000) is located central Utah 20mi/32km southwest of Manti. The town was named Centerfield because it was in the center of Gunnison Valley.
Ephraim, Utah
Founded in 1854, Ephraim (pop. 4,500) is the largest town in Sanpete County. Since 1976 the town has celebrated its Nordic heritage with a Scandinavian Festival, held the weekend before Memorial Day in the town square. Ephraim is the site of Snow College which was founded in 1888.

Ephraim - Snow College
Snow College in Ephraim has about 2,500 students. It became a two-year college in 1932 after it was turned over to the state by the Mormon Church.
